10 Liked · Perfect location - really reasonably priced room overlooking the Grand Canal (I felt like Angelina Jolie in "Tourist"!) Obviously the hotel is inexpensive, so the equipment is not the newest - you can see it especially in the bathtub, but everything is very clean. The furniture is intentionally old - kept in style. And the walls are finished with fabrics on a sponge, sewn with rope in the corner! Really Venetian! In a modern, soulless chain hotel you can live anywhere, and this hotel is a real Italia run by a family of very nice, helpful Italians. Breakfast included in the price of the room - just great - cold cuts, cheese, eggs, milk crisps - what a rich cottage. And the coffee! - Delicious, mild-tasting (I personally don't like coffee that is too intense) from a coffee machine that grinds beans for each cup and serves any kind of coffee possible - great coffee for breakfast! And the lady who was busy disinfecting the tables should get the medal of a smile - she had a kind word and a radiant smile for each guest. Thanks to the perfect location, we could walk everywhere using the picturesque streets and bridges. We had a really very near water bus stop - after buying a 3-day ticket, we visited the whole of Venice and the surrounding islands from the water. Lots of properties in Venice have an unpleasant odor from damp - absolutely no such problem at this hotel and we were in November!

We booked this hotel at a very reasonable price so we were very satisfied with our stay. We got a very quiet family room. Have to say we did not hear any noise at all and we slept very well. The room and bathroom were very clean though there are spots of black mould under the seals in the shower and on the ceiling from a leak from above. The shower is over a bath. We used both the shower and the bath and found the hot water to be plentiful. Bed linen and towels were clean. Mattresses were comfortable and seemed quite new. The room was well equipped with a handy, spotlessly clean fridge and a to. We managed to find one English speaking channel. Breakfast, for the price, was very good. Location was excellent. It’s only a few minutes to the train station.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. A five minute walk from the bus station and almost opposite the railway station. There is also a water bus stop really close too. So easy to find, a real bonus. The staff were friendly and very helpful, giving out good advice for places to eat and ways to get around. Maybe it was because I was a lone female but the man on the desk took the trouble to make sure I knew how to get back into the hotel after midnight. The area felt safe but he just wanted to make sure. The decor was best described as 'faded glamour' it added to the appeal for me. If you like a clinical, bland hotel I'd suggest you go for one of the chains. If you like somewhere with a bit more character? Book here

I've stayed here before and will happily return. It's just over the canal from Santa Lucia station, and there's also a public garden just a couple of minutes walk away. Upon arrival, given the 30+C temperatures that day, I was gifted a bottle of water from the cooler, a really nice surprise. Breakfast is really good. All the staff are helpful. My room was clean and comfortable enough for one night, and as I was desperate for a good night's sleep, I was very glad of how quiet it was, and also of the air conditioning. Wi-fi connection was stable. It's also marvellous to be able to leave my luggage there for the day (after checking out), before travelling out of Venice in the evening.

The location of the hotel is right across santa lucia terminal which is awesome location if you have lot of luggage. In my case was a plus because I lost a wheel and I could reach out the hotel quickly. The front desk personnel help me pointing a store away from venice that I could find a new luggage at good price. The staff was so friendly and help me getting around the city. The room was really good with a view to the canal. There is no noice during the night and you can sleep really well. The building is old like many in the city but worth the price. Last thing is that the breakfast is included and the cappuccino is excellent
